As a candle maker, I’m always drawn into local candle shops. I usually never buy any because most suffer from poor scent throws, cheap presentation, and the same generic scents so I’m always skeptical. I say that all just to say this shop really stands out. Unwined is a nice storefront on historic Main Street and repurposes wine bottles into candles. They also sell other gift items and local art items. As far as the candles, they have the usual favorites but also have a rotating selections of what I prefer: unique scents. Today I picked up Dreamsicle. I’ve been painting the house the past few hours and all I can smell is the candle. The throw is good even for soy and the scent is great. The labels are quality as well; at home in any room or style. These would work well as a gift, too. I just moved in up the hill so I’ll definitely be swinging back by.
