The Downtown Sykesville Connection warmly invites you to support the 2026 Sykesville Happy-Thon. What began in 2015 as a small initiative serving 14 local families has grown into a cherished holiday tradition - one made possible by the extraordinary generosity of our community.
Working closely with the caring counselors at Piney Ridge Elementary, Sykesville Middle School, and DSC partners, the Happy-Thon supports local children and families experiencing hardship during the holiday season.
In 2025, our community raised an incredible $18,602, allowing us to provide gifts, warm clothing, and holiday joy to 84 children and their families. Additional funds help Sykesville Middle School students participate in educational field trips, extending the campaign’s impact well beyond the holidays.
Each year, the Happy-Thon culminates in a heartwarming celebration filled with treats, smiles, gifts, and a special visit from Santa Claus on the Town House porch. It is a magical day for the children, their families, and everyone who comes together to make it possible.
With your support, we hope to reach even more families in 2026. Your contribution provides far more than presents and clothing - it reminds children that they are seen, valued, and surrounded by a community that cares. That sense of belonging is at the heart of what makes Sykesville so special.
Every donation made to the Downtown Sykesville Connection directly supports the purchase of gifts and clothing for participating families. DSC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN: 82-3150093), and donations are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
