Across cultures and throughout history, the transition from summer to autumn has inspired stories, traditions, harvest celebrations, and festivals of light that honor the changing season and bring communities together. The Fall Festival - Autumn Around the World celebrates this shared human experience by highlighting the rich cultural traditions that welcome fall in communities across the globe.
Held in the heart of downtown Sykesville, the festival features hands-on activities, cultural demonstrations, artisan vendors, family-friendly games, live entertainment, seasonal foods, and opportunities to explore the unique customs that mark the arrival of autumn. By embracing the diverse ways people celebrate the season, the festival creates an inclusive, welcoming experience that reflects the many cultures represented in our community.
The festival also provides an important opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products and services, connect with thousands of visitors, and support the Downtown Sykesville Connection's nonprofit Main Street revitalization efforts. Together, we are creating a vibrant celebration that honors both our local community and the global traditions that make the arrival of fall a season of gratitude, connection, and light.
