The Downtown Sykesville Connection’s Happy-Thon turns community generosity into gifts, warm clothing, and holiday joy for local children and families.
What began in 2015 by helping 14 families has become a heartfelt downtown tradition. In 2025, our community raised over $18,000, providing gifts and warm clothing for 84 children. Additional funds go to Sykesville Middle School students so they can all participate in field trips.
Working with counselors at Piney Ridge Elementary and Sykesville Middle School, we reach families who could use extra support. The campaign culminates in a celebration with gifts, treats, and a visit from Santa on the Town House porch.
Behind every wrapped present is a simple message: you belong, and your community cares.
