This Giving Tuesday, Make the Holidays Brighter with Sykesville’s Happy-Thon

Last Updated 12/1/2025

On this Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in spreading joy, warmth, and hope right here in our community.

For the past 10 years, the Sykesville Happy-Thon Holiday event has made the season brighter for local families. What started in 2015 by helping just 14 families has grown into a powerful tradition—thanks to the kindness of neighbors like you.

🌟 Your Impact Last Year

In 2024, together we raised $15,881—enough to:

  • Provide gifts and warm clothing for 65 children

Give each child's family a gift card for groceries

  • Fund field trips for Sykesville Middle School students, creating opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have

Every dollar given goes directly toward making the holidays magical for children in need, identified by the caring counselors at Piney Ridge Elementary and Sykesville Middle School.

🎄 Why Giving Tuesday Matters

Giving Tuesday is about more than donations—it’s about coming together as a community to show love and care. When you give to the Happy-Thon, you’re doing more than providing presents—you’re creating memories, connection, and hope for children who may otherwise go without.

The campaign culminates in a joyful holiday celebration where kids receive gifts, enjoy festive treats, and experience the magic of Santa Claus on the porch of the Townhouse.
