I first discovered BotaniGal a few months after the shop opened in Sykesville and I now find myself heading there weekly or even more frequently. The minute you walk in this lovely respite from the world you know you’re in a special place. The wide array of healthy plants and plant accessories will bring you back frequently as there are weekly restocks and new vendors of plant accessories. Shop Dog Mooney will greet you and turn a bad day into a good day and a good day into a great day. And then there’s owner, Hannah, and her friendly staff who enjoy sharing their love of plants. It’s obvious that Hannah is passionate about plants and the joy they can bring. She’s quick to share her knowledge and is always ready to answer questions or diagnose any problems and give advice on how I can help my plants thrive. The store has such happy vibes that even if you’re not in the market for a plant, stop in to pat Mooney, soak in the greenery, maybe pick up a pot or a bag of fabulous Growth Spurt Dirt, and you’ll leave feeling better than when you walked in.
