Thoughtful Pages Downtown Book Club
Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00 PM
Our next selection is a classic many have read (or were supposed to read): George Orwell’s 1984.
If you’ve already read 1984 and would like to participate, we encourage you to explore alternate formats or interpretations. There are several audiobook versions, a graphic novel adaptation, and fascinating retellings from alternate perspectives by other authors. We would love for those insights to enrich our discussion. You can check out some of these options and additional reading recs HERE
We look forward to seeing you on March 3rd—and please feel free to help spread the word about Thoughtful Pages Downtown. Please consider RSVPing HERE for bookclub. This helps us in case we need to change a date/time due to weather, etc.
Past book:
All Boys Aren’t Blue by George M. Johnson. If you’re interested in continuing to read within the space of queerness, race, and identity, we’ve put together a recommended reading list for you to explore and dive into.
No single book can answer every question, capture every nuance, or solve complex issues—but reading many books is a powerful place to start.
