Beyond the Brews: What Makes Sykesville’s Craft Beer Festival Special - This Saturday November 8, 2025
Get your tickets for this Saturday, Nov. 8, before they’re gone!
When people think of the Sykesville Craft Beer Festival, they often picture rows of taps, overflowing tasting glasses, and a buzzing Main Street filled with laughter. And while that’s true — this year’s festival will bring together over 60 craft beers, live music, and great food — there’s so much more bubbling beneath the surface.
The Craft Beer Festival is not just a celebration of hops and barley. It’s one of the biggest fundraisers for the Downtown Sykesville Connection (DSC), a nonprofit dedicated to preserving our historic charm while building a stronger, more connected future.
Each ticket sold and each souvenir tee purchased goes directly toward projects that make Sykesville a vibrant, welcoming place to live, work, and visit. The festival fuels initiatives like:
-
Veterans Banners that line Main Street, honoring those who served
-
Facade improvement grants that help small businesses refresh and beautify their storefronts
-
Community gardens that bring neighbors together and add greenery downtown
-
Free programs and events that make culture, entertainment, and learning accessible to all
-
The Sykesville Farmers Market, a hub for fresh, local produce and handmade goods
-
Year-round free events that keep our town thriving and inclusive
When you cheer at the festival, you’re also supporting these vital efforts and so many more.
Raising a Glass—and a Helping Hand: Sykesville Craft Beer Festival Food Drive
The Downtown Sykesville Connection (DSC) has always believed that our greatest strength lies in how we care for one another. As our community prepares for the November 1st SNAP benefit cuts, the DSC is turning challenge into action and compassion into impact.
This year, our biggest celebration of local flavor and fellowship—the Sykesville Craft Beer Festival—will do more than bring people together for great brews and good times. It will also bring hope to families in our town who need a little extra support this season.
Because that’s what Sykesville does best—we come together, we lift each other up, and we make sure no neighbor is left behind.
Discount for Donations: Raising Hope Together
Beginning November 1st, the Downtown Sykesville Connection has launched a special coupon code, CBFOOD25, for Craft Beer Festival Tasting Ticket sales.
This $5 discount is our way of thanking guests who pledge to bring 2–3 items from our Necessity List (see event page for list) to support an Emergency Food Pantry Collection.
