Charlotte Invites You to Become a Composting Champion!

Last Updated 8/30/2024

Dear Sykesville Community Members,

We are delighted to extend to you an invitation to become one of our distinguished Composting Champions! You may be asking yourself, what is a Composting Champion? Allow us to explain. A Composting Champion is a devoted and enthusiastic individual who plays a pivotal role in our community’s environmental stewardship. By opening their backyard composting system to their neighbors, Composting Champions provide a valuable service that allows residents to drop off the contents of their table-top composters. This initiative is not only a remarkable opportunity to support sustainable practices but also a fantastic way to enhance community engagement and foster a spirit of environmental responsibility. As a Composting Champion, you will be at the heart of our community’s efforts to reduce waste and promote eco-friendly habits. Your involvement will make a significant difference in our shared goal of a greener and more sustainable Sykesville. Should you choose to embrace this rewarding role, we will provide you with a high-quality composter for your backyard. You will have the option to select from two different composter models, each designed to meet your needs and preferences. If you are enthusiastic about this opportunity and ready to take on the role of a Composting Champion, please let us know of your willingness to participate at [email protected]. We would be thrilled to welcome you to this important initiative.

Here are some of our current Composting Champions:

  • Shain Marbut, 7495 Windswept Court
  • Julia Cooper, 641 Shimmering Run Court
  • The Wittigs, 7517 Main Street
  • Nikki Batista, 616 Boulder Court
  • Jane Mergler, 763 Central Avenue

Thank you for considering this chance to make a positive impact in our community. We look forward to your response and to the possibility of having you join our team of Composting Champions!

Sincerely, Charlotte
